How will Google's shift in leadership change the company?

How will Google's shift in leadership change the company?

What's the difference between Alphabet and Google?

Well, Google is the search engine, YouTube, all the stuff you probably think of as Google. Alphabet is the parent company that was created four or five years ago. And it contains a whole bunch of other entities like Jigsaw, Verily - the health care company that Google runs, Waymo - the self-driving car unit. Also, it's important to know Google makes tons of money. Alphabet, all that other stuff loses tons of money.

With the founders of Google stepping down from Alphabet, how will the companies change?

So, Larry Page, Sergey Brin, they were running Alphabet. They've moved away. Sundar Pichai who ran Google now runs it all. How will the companies change? They might just get rid of Alphabet or fold it back into Google or shut down some of those things. A lot of those projects were just kind of crazy dreams of Larry and Sergey's.

Who is Sundar Pichai?

He is the CEO of Google. He's worked his way up. He's tremendously well respected. He's an engineer and he just got a huge vote of confidence.
