On Monday, a lone shooter opened fire in a New York City office building, killing four people – including a police officer – and wounding a fifth. The latest casualties add to a long history of US mass shootings, defined as incidents where at least four people are injured or killed. Here's a look at which states have suffered the largest impact of these kinds of shootings between 2020 to 2024.
