Clayton Allen

Clayton Allen is Practice Head for the United States at Eurasia Group, where he covers politics and policy in Washington. He has significant experience in both government and the financial sector, including stints as a policy adviser in the US Senate, at the National Nuclear Security Administration, and as a political adviser to institutional investors. In these roles, Clayton has provided support to senior elected officials and investors on multiple policy areas including trade, energy, and national security. He helped negotiate the opening of US oil and LNG exports during the administration of former president Barack Obama, and he advised investors seeking to navigate rapidly changing US trade policies under Donald Trump. Clayton holds a bachelor's degree in political management from Louisiana State University and a master of business administration from Georgetown University.
