"The biggest story in the country is not President Trump being a jerk to a reporter," New York Times media columnist Ben Smith told Ian Bremmer. "It's this pandemic, and that doesn't mean you don't cover it. It doesn't mean you don't also understand why he's doing it and the kind of show he's trying to put on, why this is working because those are important stories, but probably not the biggest story today."
