The number of deaths caused by terrorist attacks worldwide has declined in recent years, according to reports meticulously compiled by the University of Maryland’s Global Terrorism Database. In 2017, terrorism-related deaths fell nearly 25 percent compared with the previous year. And since 2014, the global numbers have fallen a full 64 percent.
