Europe COVID-19 Reopening: European Commission Recommendation & UK | Europe In :60 | GZERO Media

What's the confusion around Boris Johnson's directive on opening up Britain?

Well, there's always confusion in his issues, because these issues or these directives are necessarily not covering every single detail. So, there has been a considerable amount of confusion, and I think that's got to be the pattern in quite a number of countries.

Will European countries open up their borders in accordance with the recommendation of the European Commission?

Well, the commission says that it's really up to the individual countries and you can see the individual countries going at somewhat different speeds. Italy, which is a critical country, is now opening up its borders. There's got to be considerable restrictions and advice on how to behave. But I think that's a significant sign of the gradual, careful opening up that you will see across Europe in the next few weeks.
