Eurasia Group and GZERO Media are seeking a highly creative, detail-oriented Graphic and Animation Designer who lives and breathes news, international affairs, and policy. The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience using visual storytelling—including data visualizations and short-form animations—to make complex geopolitical topics accessible, social-friendly, and engaging across platforms. You will join a dynamic team of researchers, editors, video producers, and writers to elevate our storytelling and thought leadership through innovative multimedia content.

- Weekly: Create short-form animations and motion graphics for editorial video, social-first content, and multimedia products.
- Monthly: Develop interactive and animated presentations for events and conferences, collaborating with the Events team and stakeholders.
- Work closely with editorial, research, and digital teams to translate complex global topics—country analysis, elections, breaking news—into clear, impactful visuals.
- Propose new creative concepts to advance the firm’s visual storytelling, experiment with generative AI and new design tools as appropriate, and help define our visual brand in a crowded digital marketplace.
- Flexibly manage multiple projects and respond quickly to breaking news and fast-changing requirements.
- Join internal meetings and (on occasion) external client or event sessions to collect feedback, brainstorm, and present creative ideas.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 3+ years’ experience in graphic design and animation (preferably in news, research, think-tank, or policy communications environment).
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, After Effects, Photoshop, and InDesign; demonstrated ability in using generative AI visual tools and fluency with a variety of new and emerging design platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Exceptional portfolio with at least four examples of visually explaining complex or policy-related topics.
- Passion for global news and politics; international mindset and curiosity about foreign affairs.
- Entrepreneurial, “scrappy” approach: can take direction but also thrives independently in a fast-paced, feedback-driven culture.
- Team player who contributes to creative vision and thought leadership; strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Adaptable to flexible working hours and quick-turnaround requests driven by the global news cycle.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to experiment with new tools or approaches.
In-person attendance in New York City or Washington DC office preferred; remote candidates considered (in EST time zone).

- Role is primarily internal with possible client or event participation as needed.
- Minimal travel expected, and remote project execution is possible.
To Apply: Please submit your resume and a portfolio containing at least four examples of relevant visuals
