Voters in six states headed to the polls yesterday to decide who they want as the Democratic nominee for president, in a battle pitting Senator Bernie Sanders against former Vice President Joe Biden. (Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard remains in the race but has no viable path to the nomination.) Biden carried the day, furthering his delegate lead over Sanders. As a reminder: Rather than casting ballots directly for a candidate, voters in these primaries actually choose "delegates" or representatives who will then be sent to the party's national convention in July, where they will vote for a Democratic candidate based on the results of the primaries.
