The Graphic Truth: Where has COVID killed the most?

The coronavirus pandemic has affected the entire world, but some countries have suffered much higher death tolls than others — particularly in Europe, the US, and Latin America. This is due to a range of factors: Europe has a generally older population, which is more vulnerable to the disease; the healthcare systems in Latin America are relatively weak; and incompetent government responses in Brazil and the US drove up the number of infections and, accordingly, deaths.
