Why is Chile erupting in violent protests?

Well, it's one of the more unusual countries to do so. Usually it's the most stable, certainly wealthiest of the South American countries. And over a tiny hike in subway price. But reality is, a whole bunch of middle and working class, angry that they haven't benefited from the growth in the economy. Well, most Mexicans think the cartels have more power. Not surprising. They just picked up the son of a major drug lord, had to give him back because there was massive fighting. López Obrador, the president, is still very popular. But my God, he has a serious problem on security. And he's certainly going to have a big challenge on his hands over the coming year if he's not able to address it.
