11: At least 11 people died and more than 47 were injured in a stampede outside M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru Wednesday night, as crowds gathered to celebrate Royal Challengers Bangalore’s first-ever victory in the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League, the world’s most lucrative cricket tournament. Prime Minister Narendra Modi described the incident as “absolutely heartrending.”

The deal will also assist in the relicensing of Constellation’s nuclear plant, whose current lease expires in 2027.
